Nicole hosted [2] 30-minute assemblies. At the time, only “Two Cents” existed.

The first was for pre-k (ages 3 & 4) and kindergarten (age 5). Nicole catered to the important milestones that occur during this age range. Some activities included “picture walk” before an interactive read aloud of the story, letter and color recognition, movements while sitting, counting, meaning of words, etc. Since time permitted, Nicole also asked for adult volunteers to partake in a silly, visual game.

The second assembly was for first through third grade (age 6-8). These children have more comprehensive knowledge which allows Nicole to explore more parts of the story. Some topics include sound match, fairy tale and nursery rhyme references, sequencing, parts of speech, descriptive words, and themes.
