I am so excited to announce our upcoming children’s book, ABC Checkup. Most people know that I am a very experienced patient. My chronic illness journey “officially” began at the age of 5, and I’ve been living at doctor’s offices ever since. Becoming a foster mother only increased the time spent at clinics and urgent cares. Seeing my foster children’s anxieties through the eyes of a parent reminded me that children still experience anxiety at doctors’ offices. Joel Selby, Ashley Selby, and I wanted to remedy this fear with a colorful and funny new story! Joel and Ashley (@JoelAndAshleyDraw) are such talented artists. Their colorful works really bring this story to life.
