I had the opportunity to present my latest author PowerPoint at the HOPE Resource Center this past Saturday. This office is a branch of DSS where the licensing social workers conduct meetings, the biological parents do their visits, and foster parents attend events. Thanks to the donors that gave to Coliecreations throughout 2023, all 150 children in the Craven County foster system are eligible for a FREE Colie Creations children’s book. They’ll also receive a free notebook meant for doodling and journaling. Those who attended the presentation in person heard “My Pants” and “Two Cents” read aloud. The kids and their parents were able to color and eat snacks (snacks courtesy of DSS), and I autographed the children’s books at the end. I’m so thankful I was able to give back to this community, and I’m proud of be a part of it. If you ever want to book me for an author gig (virtual or in person), I’d love to hear from you.
